ARMORED SAINT- "Emotion Factory Reset"

 

Another album, another day,another modern metal masterpiece,another grower. ARMORED SAINT is a band that has been pioneers in the crossover movement for many years now. Fusing power metal,US metal, modern metal, South LA influences, Soul and most and above all their personalities they created another hit record. What I love at AS is they deliver what you expect to see on stage. A high octane energetic heavy rock that loves the low frequencies, the groove and the massive guitars with John Bush one of the best of his generation  singers walking all over the listener like a caterpillar. 

 

From the in your face heavy opener " Close to the Bone.” to the strip down "Throwing Caution to the Wind",the catchy, in your face "Hit the moonshine" the album is a killer. The album is as metal as diversified, teh ARMORED SAINT way, it moves from the groovy, Southern flavored "Buckeye" as my distinct colleague Dimitris Chellos of Rock Hard Greece wrote to "Every Man-Any Man", a fast paced metal song ready to raise the roofs in every club they will perform it, with its killer riff and the filled with C4 explosives 'Compromise' where Joey Vera has his own personal party. Those are all songs that stand out in a massive ,energetic and groovy, metal album. Groove, heavy vocals, massive riffs, modern but still traditional, in the vein of "Symbol of Salvation" and "La Razza' at the same time , 

 

AS's new album is the perfect passport for more live appearances ,and another testimony of how you can be underrated for your whole life and still performing every night like your life's is depending on it. Fans of the band will love it even as they will need some time to digest all the elements included. The rest of the world will as usual pass by till the next Spotify suggestion.
