TEMPLE BALLS- "Temple Balls"
Great FM Hard rock with sleaze elements and DEF LEPPARD influences that brings the full potential of these fins in the broad daylight. Already on the fifth album, they show a maturity and eagerness to rock hard and dirty that is admirable.
They know how to pen a tune, heavy and sleazy like the opening track "Flashback Dynamite". Glam and dirty at "There Will Be Blood", or surprisingly based on the riff we loved at "The trooper" (IRON MAIDEN) but twisted to become a new radio friendly sleaze hit at "Tokyo Love". The guys know what the arena rock audience wants and they deliver, just listen to "We Are the Night' and singalong with fists raised high. They have all the elements and they know how to combine the choruses that stick to listeners mind ,in the same way CRASHDIET used at their first two albums but with a more DEF LEP aesthetic and commercial POV. They can be heavy and make the guitars spit fire as in "Chasing the Madness" or simply write successful, groovy, melodic heavy rock, low and dirty songs like "Hellbound"and "Soul Survivor".
A modern sleaze/Arena rock album full of anthemic songs, great melodies aiming to the heart and the good old 80s spirit, without limitation, just pure innovation and song crafting. Arde Teronen (vocals), Niko Vuorela (guitar), Jiri Paavonaho (guitar), Jimi Välikangas (bass), and Antti Hissa (drums). are a wild bunch with the SKID ROW virus running in their blood, multiplied by their own ideas and skills. This album marks the final recorded performances of guitarist Niko Vuorela. So it is a picture of a modern sleaze/hard rock band in its prime, nothing more than great music and even greater, catchy songs. Among the albums of the year already in its genre.
