 GREYHAWK are back with their third studio album, via Cruz Del Sur Music. The 11-track album features new vocalist Anthony Corso and would be a Turkish delight for every friend of US melodic power metal, in the vein of RIOT "Thundersteel-Privilege of power" era, LETHAL, SAVAGE GRACE.

 The well known twin guitar attacks are here, heavy and melodic as ever with their roots deep in the IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST golden era of the 80s.  Jesse Berlin (lead guitar), and Rob Steinway (rhythm guitar) are trading riffs as easy and comfortable as finishing their beer at their local bar. The WISHBONE ASH/THIN LIZZY, melodic approach make their sound even more epic, a sing along party that has as top moment Corso's soulful vocals. High pitched but with melody and depth, he reminds me of the RIOT glory days and still has his own character. The album is fueled by the powerful rhythm section of Darin Wall (bass)and Nate Butler (drums) who create a solid, heavy yet groovy base for the rest of the band to deploy their talents. 

You can find almost everything here from the full in your face power metal paean of "Ascension" the fast and furious, low edge "Endless Race", the epic "Warriors Of Greyhawk", the sci-fi, "Hyperspace" and one for the stand out tracks in my not so humble opinion "Embers Rise" and the simple yet not simplistic "Rise Above". First rate, frist class power metal with influences from the 80s legends, the cornerstone bands of the 70s ,lyricism, and faith to the eternal heavy metal sound as it was forged in its glory days when guitar wizardry met voices that stood the test of time.
